David is an experienced Atlanta attorney, and a partner in Carter Jeffries, LLC.  His practice focuses on estate and asset planning for families and small businesses, probate administration and litigation, and appeals of Veterans Administration benefit denials. the course of his 25 year career, David has gained extensive knowledge in numerous practice areas, and it is this wide range of experience that adds a unique angle to asset protection, estate planning and probate and trust administration. In each of these practice areas, his success and experience in complex civil litigation, provides a unique perspective that most transactional attorneys cannot match.

Education:

David Carter graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Virginia and a Juris Doctor from the Washington and Lee University School of Law. David went on to earn his Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of Miami School of Law, where he graduated in the top five students in his class. While he has more than 15 years of experience in the courtroom, he has been actively practicing law in Georgia since 2004. David Carter’s academic and professional pursuits are only one example of his dedication to excellence in the legal profession.

 

A bit more about David Carter                                           

img_0930-2David is a family man who enjoys spending time with his wife, Kelly, and two children, Jack and Ellie.  David is an active runner and lifetime soccer player.  He is also dedicated to his community, as an active member of his neighborhood association and member of Chamblee United Methodist Church.  He also serves on the board of directors of the Atlanta Smiles Foundation, and has served on the board of directors of Samaritan House in downtown Atlanta. David was one of the first appointees to the Chamblee Downtown Development Authority, eventually becoming its chairperson. In that role, David provided focus and added substantially to the development of Chamblee into one of the fastest growing municipalities in the Atlanta area.
